September is National Disaster Preparedness Month and is a time to remind and encourage citizens to take steps to prepare their homes, businesses, schools and communities for emergencies such as a national disaster. We have teamed up with our parent company Pelican Products to showcase how to best utilize our products to prepare for many types of disasters.
The infographic shown here [https://www.pelican.com/us/en/media/docs/Pelican-Disaster-Preparedness-8-30-19.pdf] illustrates how a variety of Pelican™ products can be used to prepare for many types of disasters. Pelican products, available in stores and at pelican.com, include watertight multipurpose equipment containers, coolers to keep supplies chilled during power interruptions, and a collection of reliable, sturdy flashlights.
Along with our reusable Crēdo Cube shipper, Pelican BioThermal offers several aditional temperature-controlled packaging solutions that assist in the transport of blood and vaccines to areas in need. The Crēdo™ ProMed is used by first responders to transport blood within either 2-8°C or 15-25°C to the critically injured. The Crēdo Duracube™ HD provides thermal temperature protection for vaccines that need to maintain a specific temperature range for an extended timeframe.
In recognition of National Preparedness Month, Pelican Products is donating 1,000 flashlights to Direct Relief. This non-profit organization provides medication and other supplies to healthcare providers throughout the U.S. and worldwide to help save the lives of vulnerable people struggling to survive catastrophic events such as wildfires, hurricanes and floods.
