ISTA Forum Recap

ISTA 2019

Pelican BioThermal exhibited at the ISTA Forum that took place in Denver, Colorado earlier this month. Bill Mayer, director of research and development presented Pelican BioThermal’s continued approach to developing a mechanical test method for reusable passive thermal packaging systems, as one currently doesn’t exist that takes into account the real-world use environment of reusable thermal packaging. Furthermore, the test method also allows for the impact of dynamic use on the thermal performance of the temperature controlled packaging to be assessed.

Bill Mayer is also part of an industry task force that published a white paper on best practices for reusable passive thermal shippers.  The task force, including Mayer, will present their paper’s results during the ISTA TempPack conference at 2:30 PM on May 14th.  The white paper can be reviewed and commented on, here.

The ISTA Forum includes two co-located events, TransPack and TempPack and will be held March 16-19, 2020 at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts in Orlando, Florida.
